Leone Van Jaarsveld was publicly announced in September 2022 as Miss World Namibia 2022, and will be representing her country at the 71st edition of Miss World International in May. The Mayor of Swakopmund, Cllr Dina Namubes through her office, will closely collaborate with her on "change the story projects" like education development and enhancement, revitalizing the tourism sector, and promoting employment creation through Entrepreneurship. Leone is concentrating on youth and sports development, and community upliftment.
