Recent disclosures in the National Assembly regarding the national bulk fuel supply have highlighted the urgent need for structural transparency within our ministries. Effective governance requires that competitive offers, especially those originating from our own national entities like NAMCOR, receive exhaustive, unbiased consideration to ensure the absolute best financial value for the Namibian people.
With public resources like the National Energy Fund under continuous strain, every decision must avoid even the appearance of procedural unfairness or structural conflict. The IPC stands firmly for the strict adherence to Article 18 of the Namibian Constitution, which guarantees administrative fairness. We demand that pricing methodologies, bids, and contracts be openly tabled to assure the public that their economic interests are being protected.
