Commander US Navy Captain Michael E. Concannon of the USS Hershel Woody Williams (ship), and his crew paid a courtesy visit on the Office of the Mayor yesterday. The purpose of Captain Michael E. Concannon’s visit was to convey his gratitude to the Mayor, Trevino Forbes and the people of Walvis Bay for their continued support and hospitality. The vessel's crew rotates every six months and it’s their first-time visiting Namibia. The ship’s crew will be taking part in various community outreach projects that have been identified by the Embassy of the United States of America. Outreach projects include services to schools, such as offering manpower to complete painting school premises with materials already on hand and many more.
